BLACK R~OCK BUFFALO NY Scale: 3.5mm - 1ft. Gauges 16.5mm ('H0' ) by Steve Grantham

Size: 6ft x 2ft (plus operator space), Operators:Two, Transport: One car.

The layout is intended to represent a small Railway Express Agency depot, with adjacent team tracks, in the Black Rock area of Buffalo, New York State. The area was well provided with rail acess in the past and still has significant trackage even now. The New York Central run the majority of services but given the closeness of the Canadian border, CN equipment also has running rights. The odd interloper from other companies and shortlines is similarly not unknown.

The trackwork is Micro Engineering Code 70 ready weathered plain rail with Pilz switches (points). The structures are variously Heljan, Rix and those well-known suppliers Scratchbuild and Bodgitt! Operation is straight DC. Motive power comes from Atlas,Athearn and the Proto range. Non passenger stock is from the usual sources.
