Details of layouts that appeared at the 2013 Show: Clee Valley Railway: 7mm/ft '09' (Peter Leadley) An attempt at modelling a 15inch gauge miniature railway somewhere in England during the early part of the 21st Century, obviously a tourist attraction! (layout's debut) Colinton: 4mm/ft 'S4' (Alistair Dickson) The layout replicates an actual location, Colinton on the Caledonian Railway's Balerno branch to the south west of Edinburgh, now part of Edinburgh district. Colyer Street: 4mm/ft '00' (Roger Epps) Set in the heart of industrial Tyneside the layout imagines that the former North British Railway did in fact manage to build a station in Newcastle Cornwallis Yard: 4mm/ft 'EM' (David Barker) A fictitious small, but busy, goods depot on the Plymouth Millbay branch of the GWR in the mid 1930s. Great Burden: 2mm/ft 'N' (Robin Nixon) This layout represents a section of a (fictitious) east/west mainline located on the eastern side of the Pennines during the late 50s/ early 60s. Hartburn: 4mm/ft 'EM' (Ian Manderson) Set in 1962/3 it is assumed that the NCR built the railway linking Morpeth and Redesmouth to go via Meldon, Hartburn and Longwitton. High Stamley: 4mm/ft '009' (Paul Windle) It's 1935 and the Roth Valley Tramway, which came to High Stamely to carry the granite from the local hills, is in decline with the work gradually being taken over by lorries. (layout's debut) Hoglington: 2mm/ft 'N' (Ray Hogben) A fictitious seaside town somewhere on the East Coast of England, based in the early sixties so that both steam and diesel is seen. Lego Trains: Gauge 40mm 'L' (Craig Durham) A Lego railway layout with examples of both official Lego trains and custom built trains in a variety of British Liveries. Myton: 4mm/ft '00' (Garth Clarkson) Myton displays what can be built in a minimum space and permits all prototypical traffic movements seen before the heavy goods vehicle revolution which changed Britains railway usage. Raccoon Canyon Mining: 1/4 inch/ft (1/48th) '0n30' (Tony Kell) Loosely based on Americam prototype set high in the American mountains where The Arithmetic Either Ore is mined! Rhyd-y-Clafdy: 4mm/ft '00' (Phil Greaves) The railway never was built but if it had been this might have been its first station on route from Pwllheli to Port Dinllaen. Sweethome Alabama: 3.5mm/ft 'H0' (Jon Grant) Set in Northern Alabama during the 1990s, it represents 2 small freight yards on a rural branch line, jointly operated by the CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroads T Gauge: 0.667mm/ft 'T' (Charlie Lickass) Three layouts on a 6ft table in the smallest of commercial scales. Torcy (SNCF): 3.5mm/ft'H0' (John Smith) .Torcy is located in the Department of Seine - Maritime in the Haute Normandie, (Upper Normandy), Region of Northern France at the end of a single track branch off the line from Rouen to Dieppe. Torcy is a real place but the railway is completely fictitious. Wansbeck Road: 2mm/ft '2FS' (Mick Simpson) A County Durham colliery village station which is set in the period 1957-1962, while based on prototype locations it is purely a figment of imagination. Waterloo Road MPD: 4mm/ft '00' (Roger Ellis) Representing a tiple shed somewhere in the East Midlands normally operated as an Eastern Region Depot. Westwood Park: 7mm/ft '0' (Hull MRS) Set in the 1950s in the Derby/Nottinghamshire areas based on no particular location, but on an LMS theme with a hint of LNER traffic.
